The Process
X-ILENO started in Geneva in 2009 as a rapper: Futurist-X, a six-track cosmic rap mixtape. Then came more than a decade of quiet.
Four years of music theory didn't make electronic production click. Friends did. What came out the other side was a rap kid learning to build machines that talk: glitch, industrial, hip hop and ambient trap, folded together without resolution.
The touchstones are still hip hop: Travis Scott's Rodeo, Shakewell. The method is trial, error, and trying again. The >X< isn't a mask. It's a reminder that the work matters more than the face.
